This functionality is designed to incentivize customers to purchase more of a product by offering them attractive tiered discounts. By doing so, it enhances your average order value and increases your overall revenue. This feature streamlines the process for merchants to create tiered discounting campaigns customized for specific products.
This guide will walk you though how to configure Buy More Save More in the Rebuy Smart Cart and use Shopify Functions to discount your products.
Pre-Requisites
To use this feature, you must have Smart Cart enabled.
Enabling Buy More Save More
To configure the "Buy More, Save More" (BMSM) feature, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Smart Cart edit page.
Enable the "Buy More Save More" feature by selecting the Cart Items option and toggling it to "on."
Configure your discounts by choosing either percentage-based or fixed amount discounts.
Percentage discount (e.g., 10% off)
Fixed amount discount (e.g., $5 off)
Add dynamic messaging or buttons to showcase the deals.
Create custom discount tiers by setting quantity thresholds and discounts.
Add additional tiers as needed and specify eligible products.
Enable the Shopify Functions toggle in your settings to ensure discounts apply smoothly and efficiently.
Save your changes to activate the feature and start optimizing your discount strategy.

Buy More Save More Settings Definitions
Display Types
Buttons will display the message for each tier i.e. "Buy {{quantity}} save {{discount}}" will show below the product image as button types with a message "Buy 2 save 5%" "Buy 5 save 10%" "Buy 10 Save 15%". This is based off the discounting tiers set up below.
The dynamic message "Buy {{difference_next_quantity}} more, save {{discount}}" is now available. For example, in a "buy 4, save $1" promotion, if a shopper has 2 items in their cart, they will see the message “Buy 2 more, save $1.00,” indicating the quantity they need to add to qualify for the discount.
Discount Language
This is what will display on either the buttons or dynamic text.
Discount Success
This is what will display next to the product when the discount has been applied to the product.
Discount Type
You can choose between a percentage discount, or make it a fixed price discount.
Select products that these discounts will apply toward
This will search for the products/variants that you would like to have the BMSM discounts apply toward. Type your product into the search bar and select the one(s) you would like to discount.
You can add up to 4 tiers of discounting. The tiers must be in ascending order, meaning that the first tier must be the lowest amount of quantity and discount percentage or fixed amount.
Example
If tier 1 (product quantity = 2, and discount 5% then the tier 2 (product quantity = {must be greater than the previous (3 or greater)}, discount = {must be greater than the previous (6% or greater)}) and the same applies to the final tier.
By default, when you add a new tier, whether you are using the percentage discount type or a fixed price discount, it will increase in increments of 5. It will also increase your quantity increments by 1 each tier you add. You can adjust these as you wish as long as they are higher than the previous tier.

Shopify Functions
With Rebuy’s integration into Shopify Functions, you can generate and apply a Buy More Save More discount directly within the Smart Cart settings as shown below.

Warning: 🚫 When running other Shopify Discounts in parallel with a Rebuy Shopify Functions discount, you will need to set your other discounts to be combinable to ensure that they do not override Rebuy's Shopify Functions discounts. While Rebuy's discounts are automatically set to combine, Rebuy cannot control the settings of your other Shopify Discounts.

Shopify Automatic Discounts
If for any reason you do not wish to use Rebuy's Shopify Functions discounting options and prefer to set up the discounting directly in your Shopify Admin, you still have the ability to use Shopify Automatic Discounts. This requires that you manually create the Automatic Discount in your Shopify Admin. Do I need to be on a Shopify Plus plan to use the Buy More Save More feature?
No, a Shopify Plus plan is NOT required, as you can use Shopify Functions directly within the Smart Cart's Buy More Save More settings to enable your product discount(s). The Shopify Functions discounting feature within Rebuy now available to all Shopify plans.
Can I create multiple Buy More Save More campaigns?
Currently you can only make one Buy More Save More campaign. Meaning you will not be able to make different rules for different products. You will only be able to select the product(s) and they will use the same tiers. We are looking to expand this feature in an upcoming version so you can make multiple campaigns.
