To learn more about Klaviyo events, read Klaviyo’s help documentation on the subject.

Getting started

After you’ve successfully connected Rebuy and Klaviyo, you will see a new tab in the left-hand sidebar named Klaviyo Events. Click on the new tab to access and manage your Rebuy-generated Klaviyo events.

If you haven't already connected Rebuy and Klaviyo, read our help documentation on how to connect.

On the resulting page, you will be able to create new Klaviyo events and manage existing ones as well. On this page, Klaviyo events can be toggled on/off, duplicated, and deleted.

If you have no events created, click the New Event button to get started. The following popup window will allow you to name the Klaviyo event and choose your Event Trigger.

With the initial release of Klaviyo Events, only the Order Placed trigger is currently available.

Once you’ve created the New Event, you'll be presented with a new page where you can preview the event and change any necessary settings.

Event settings

On the right-hand side, under Event Settings, select the Data Source you would like to use for the Klaviyo event. The selected Data Source should and will be based on what the customer previously ordered.

To fully personalize the event to the desired customer base, we recommend that you build a dedicated ruleset before building out the new event. Simply navigate to the Data Sources tab and then click New Ruleset in the top-right corner.

The Event Settings will allow you to include the desired Data Sources, as well as a Reorder Landing Page if you would like to drive customers to reorder in the Klaviyo flow.

Similar to the event's designated Data Source(s), we recommend that you build a dedicated landing page before building out the new event. To learn how to create a Rebuy Landing Page, read our help documentation.

Event preview

The Event Preview section will allow you to view the customer Shopify Order ID that is triggering the event, the customer name, the date & time of purchase, and the actual product that was ordered.

Below the order details, you'll be able to preview which products Rebuy will recommend to the customer, based on the Data Source(s) selected in Event Settings.

By clicking Send Test Event, Rebuy will send an event to your Klaviyo dashboard so that you can preview the created event. This action will allow you to see what information would be included in a Klaviyo email from that created event.

To see your Rebuy Test Event(s) in the Klaviyo dashboard, navigate to the Analytics section of the Klaviyo dashboard and click Metrics, and select Rebuy from the All integrations dropdown menu.

In the Metric Name list, click the relevant Rebuy Order Placed metric line item that matches the name of your recently created Klaviyo Event in the Rebuy platform.

Then, navigate to the Activity Feed section. Here you will see your Rebuy Test Event(s) labeled as Demo Event and present in the dashboard.

Finally, you’ll be able to see the history of each of your Klaviyo events in the Rebuy platform by clicking on the Event History tab. This event page will display a list of each event that has been created, along with a quick view of the customers' information. Once events start being triggered, this list will make it easy to record which events have already been sent to Klaviyo from Rebuy.
