Follow these outlined steps to learn how to add product recommendations to your mobile app's Home and Product Pages ⬇️
Once the Rebuy x Integration has been configured, navigate to the Tapcart editor in the Shopify Admin by following the steps below:
Click the "Sales Channel" section in the left-hand sidebar in the Shopify Admin.
Select the "Tapcart - Mobile App" option from the dropdown menu.
Once in the Tapcart editor, click the "APP STUDIO" dropdown menu and select "Home" or "Product Detail" based on whether you want to place product recommendations on the Home or Product Page of your mobile app.
Next, click "Integration" to select from a list of pre-built Rebuy blocks.
You'll then be presented a list of Rebuy blocks that can be added to your desired page.
To add a cross-sell carousel to your Home or Product Page, drag-and-drop the "Rebuy - Product Recommendations on PDP" block onto the screen preview on the right-hand side of the page.
After dropping the block into your desired location, a new popup window will appear. Name your new Rebuy block and then configure your Data Source settings:
To surface products based on Rebuy's AI Recommendations Endpoint, toggle off "Use Similar Products instead of Recommended Products" (this is the default).
To surface products based on Rebuy's Similar Products Endpoint, toggle on "Use Similar Products instead of Recommended Products".
To surface products based on a custom Data Source that you have built in the Rebuy Admin, copy and paste the desired Data Source ID into the text box.
You can find the Data Source ID via the "Data Sources" tab in the Rebuy Admin.
Here's how to copy and paste the Data Source ID from the Rebuy Admin:
Once your Data Source settings have been configured, click the "Save Changes" button.
Your new Rebuy block can be edited, removed, and/or drag-and-dropped into different parts of your Home or Product Page.
Once fully configured, your new cross-sell carousel should look something like this on the live mobile app:

FAQs
Can I customize the look and style of the Tapcart block in the Rebuy Admin?
There is no way to change the design of the block in the Rebuy admin. All changes should be made in the Tapcart editor (in the Shopify Admin) via the code found in the Integration editor itself.
If you want to do this, we suggest you install a Custom Block. More details can be found here - just look for Rebuy!

What products does the AI Recommendations Endpoint surface?
This endpoint looks at the input product(s) and then cross-references them with other products that customers have purchased.
This AI is always training and updating to give the most up-to-date product recommendations for customers.
What products does the Similar Products Endpoint surface?
The Similar Products endpoint looks at product data (tags, types, etc.), specific customer data (cart data, past order data, etc.), and storefront-wide data (general product data, conversion data, etc.) in order to recommend products similar to the one your customer is viewing.
The Similar Products endpoint is great for improving Product Discovery at any point of the customer journey.
