Why Use Rebuy Monetize?
Generate Additional Revenue: Monetize high-traffic post-purchase pages with targeted offers.
Personalized Ad Content: Leverage Fluent's ad engine to deliver offers tailored to each customer's order details.
Seamless Integration: Embed offers directly into your store's Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP) without disrupting the user experience.
Integration Overview
Ad Rendering: Rebuy fetches personalized offers from Fluent's API and overlays them directly onto the TYP and OSP.
User Interaction Tracking: Events such as impressions, clicks, and transaction stats are tracked and sent back to Fluent for analytics.
Data Exchange: Rebuy shares user information (e.g., email, subvertical ID, order total) with Fluent to optimize ad targeting.
Ad Display Flow
Initial Ad Display: Upon order completion, the first ad appears embedded on the Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP).
User Interaction:
Accept: Opens the offer in a new tab; upon return, the next ad appears in a modal.
Reject: The next ad replaces the current one in the embedded view.
Ad Sequence: This process continues until all offers are viewed or dismissed. The embedded or modal ad will then disappear from view.
Additional Notes:
If an offer is rejected in the modal or embedded view and there is another offer available, the next offer will show in that view.
If an ad is never accepted, the customer will continue their ad experience in the embedded view until all offers are rejected and the embedded ad disappears.
Visual Customization
Placeholder Offers: Within Shopify's Checkout Editor, Rebuy Ad interactive elements are disabled for performance reasons and a placeholder of the Rebuy Ad is displayed.
Customer Data Integration: Offers will dynamically display the customer's name respective to the Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP). Order number will only be shown on the OSP ad.
Ad Format: Buttons and text within an ad will take on a merchant’s brand colors.
Reporting & Revenue Insights
Rebuy Monetize: Navigate to the feature from the side navigation, insights can be found under the Overview section.
Metrics Available:
Revenue: Total earnings.
Number of Transactions: Count of offers rendered on TYP or OSP orders.
Offers on the TYP and OSP would count as different transactions for the same unique customer.
If an ad exists on the OSP and the customer goes to their email and accesses the OSP a few days after placing the order, this counts as another transaction.
If the customer refreshes the page, that’s a new transaction as well.
Revenue per Transaction: Average earnings per order.
Important Considerations for Monetize Reporting
Transaction Count Eligibility: Monetize only tracks transactions that load the Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP), meaning orders outside of the USA/Canada, post-purchase upsells, or purchases from non-Online Store channels (like POS or Marketplaces) won’t be counted. Recurring subscriber orders are only tracked if they access the OSP.
Unique Transaction De-duplication: Transactions are de-duplicated if they appear multiple times within a date range (e.g., a customer checking their Order Status Page multiple times). To avoid double-counting and ensure accurate reporting, use a wider date range (15 days or more).
Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP) Widgets: Both the Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP) widgets contribute to Revenue per Transaction (RPT), but TYP tends to generate more engaged interactions. While both are valuable, the TYP widget is more effective on a per-view basis.
Date Range Impact on RPT & Transaction Counts: To get accurate transaction counts and RPT figures, use a date range of at least 15 days. This helps reduce the risk of double-counting, as customers often revisit their Order Status Page after their initial purchase.

Are there any restrictions on who can use Rebuy Monetize?
Yes. Certain merchant types, including adult products, alcohol, weapons, and CBD, are not eligible to use the Monetize feature.
How will Rebuy Monetize affect the merchant’s customer experience?
Surveys and data indicate that customers positively engage with offers and find them valuable. This is supported by research, which can be found here. Some reasons for this positive reception include:
A premium ad network primarily comprised of coveted, household brands like Hulu, Apple, Chime, and Capital One.
Advertisers often provide exclusive welcome offers, trials, and bonuses due to the high Lifetime Value (LTV) they see from customers in this channel.
Data-rich machine-learning ad serving logic ensures very personalized and relevant offers are shown to each customer.
How does Rebuy Monetize by Fluent impact Rebuy’s Post-Purchase offers?
The offers from Rebuy Monetize by Fluent are shown on the Thank You page, after any Rebuy Post-Purchase flows are concluded. Given the non-retail nature of the offers, little to no fatigue is expected from user engagement.
What page should I add the app block for the best results?
We recommend adding the app block to both the Thank You Page (TYP) and Order Status Page (OSP) for the best conversion results. This ensures maximum visibility and engagement with your customers at key touchpoints.
Where on the page should I place the app block for the best results?
For optimal results, we recommend placing the app block above the order status. This placement ensures maximum visibility and can enhance customer engagement.
Can I place the app block anywhere on the page?
While you can place the app block in your desired location(s), positioning it above the order status typically yields the best conversion rates.
What happens if I don't remove the other app blocks such as Aftersell?
If other app blocks are left in place, they might conflict with the Rebuy Monetize feature, which could result in suboptimal performance and impact your conversion rates.
Why is the Transaction count in the Monetize Dashboard lower than my total orders?
The transaction count for Rebuy Monetize only counts eligible transactions, or orders that loaded the Thank You Page (TYP) or Order Status Page (OSP) where the Monetize widget is. Transactions that wouldn’t be included in this count are often:
Orders placed outside of the USA and Canada.
Customers who did not get to the TYP because they were served post-purchase upsells and left the site before the TYP was reached.
Channels other than your Online Store like POS, Marketplaces, Tapcart, etc.
Recurring subscribers - these order types often circumvent the TYP and would only be counted as a Transaction if they check the OSP page.
What is a "unique transaction" and how is de-duplication handled?
A unique transaction is counted only once within the selected date range, even if a customer revisits their Order Status Page multiple times. This prevents double-counting and ensures more accurate transaction data.
How do TYP and OSP widgets affect my RPT?
Both widgets contribute to RPT, but the TYP generally results in higher customer engagement and is more valuable per-view. OSP views are important but yield lower revenue per view.
Can you give an example of how transaction counts differ based on the date range?
Example Scenario:
Merchant A launches a product on July 31st with 10,000 orders. On the Thank You Page (TYP), 10,000 customers see the Monetize Widget. After the sale, order volume drops to 500 orders/day, but 2,000 customers check the Order Status Page (OSP) each day.
Merchant A | July 31 | Aug 1 | Aug 2 |
TYP Count | 10,000 | 500 | 500 |
OSP Count |
| 2,000 | 2,000 |
Date Range: July 31
The Monetize Dashboard shows a transaction count of 10,000 (all from TYP). However, many of these transactions are still generating revenue as customers check the OSP on subsequent days.Date Range: Aug 1
The dashboard shows 2,500 transactions (500 from new orders and 2,000 from OSP visits from the July sale). RPT may be affected by the higher number of OSP transactions, which generate less per-view than TYP.Date Range: July 31-Aug 2
The transaction count would be 11,000 (10,000 from July 31 TYP and 1,000 from new TYP visits on Aug 1 and 2). The 4,000 OSP sessions (from Aug 1 and 2) are already counted as part of the range starting from July 31.
This example highlights the importance of reviewing data over a broad date range to accurately reflect a customer's full post-purchase journey.
