Upgrading or Downgrading Your Rebuy Plan

If you want to change your subscription plan:

  • Log into your Rebuy dashboard from your Shopify admin.

  • Navigate to the Billing or Subscription section.

  • Choose the plan that fits your needs (upgrade or downgrade).

  • Confirm the change — your billing will be updated accordingly.

Subscription Changes

  • Upgrading: You get instant access to the new features, and your next bill will include a separate charge for the upgrade. After that, charges return to your regular billing cycle.

  • Downgrading: You keep access to removed features until your billing period ends. To stop showing these features on your site right away, you need to disable them manually.

Uninstalling on an Annual Contract

If you’re on an annual contract and want to uninstall, please contact your account manager first. They’ll guide you through contract termination and next steps.

If you have determined that the app is not suitable for your needs and you wish to proceed with uninstallation, you can follow the instructions outlined below. By completing these steps, your subscription will be canceled, and all the code associated with Rebuy will be deactivated, ensuring it is no longer active on your store.

Steps to Uninstall

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin portal.

  2. Click Apps in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select App and sales channel settings at the top.

  4. Find Rebuy in the list, then click Uninstall.

  5. A confirmation pop-up will appear. You can optionally provide a reason for uninstalling—your feedback helps us improve! If you prefer, just click Uninstall without filling in the reason.

After completing these steps, your Rebuy subscription will be canceled, and all Rebuy code will be deactivated, ensuring the app is no longer active on your store.

NOTE: If you built and installed any custom Rebuy code directly into your theme you may still see that code in the theme file. It will be rendered useless without Rebuy installed, but for good measure you can remove it at any given time.

Important Notes on Subscription Changes and Uninstalling

  • Upgrading your subscription: When you upgrade to a higher-tier bundle, you gain immediate access to all features included in that plan. Your next bill will show the charges for the upgrade separately from your regular billing cycle as an initial payment. After that, future charges will be integrated into your usual billing cycle.

  • Downgrading your subscription: If you downgrade and remove access to certain features or bundles, you will still have access to those features until the end of your current billing period. However, if you don’t want those features to appear on your website during that time, you need to manually disable or remove them from your current configurations.

  • Uninstalling Rebuy: When you uninstall the app, all Rebuy-related code and features will immediately become inactive and stop running on your store.

FAQs

Why do my Rebuy features still work after I downgrade or deactivate a package?

A: When you downgrade or deactivate a package in the middle of your billing cycle or trial, the package status changes to “active canceled.” This means you’ll still have access to that package’s features until the current billing or trial period ends. So, even if you remove a package like Post-Purchase mid-cycle, its features will keep running until the billing period is over. If you want to stop those features immediately, you’ll need to manually disable them in Rebuy Admin and/or Shopify after downgrading.
