Step-by-Step Installation (Step 1)

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin portal.

  2. From your dashboard, do one of the following:

  3. Click “Add App” on Rebuy’s listing page.

  4. Create your user account if you have not yet done so.

  5. Select your package(s) that you would like access to.

  6. Approve billing and accept the terms and conditions to complete the installation.

✅ Once installed, Rebuy will guide you through a brief onboarding process to help connect your data and start personalizing your store experience.

Step 2: Enable the Rebuy Connector

  1. Once Rebuy is installed, you’ll need to enable the Rebuy Connector to activate app functionality within your Shopify store.

    Here’s how:

    1. In the Rebuy dashboard, look for the prompt at the top that says “Enable Rebuy Connector.”

    2. Click the prompt to open a Shopify settings window.

    3. Toggle the Rebuy Connector switch to the “On” position.

Upgrading or Downgrading Your Rebuy Plan

If you want to change your subscription plan:

  • Log into your Rebuy dashboard from your Shopify admin.

  • Navigate to the Billing or Subscription section.

  • Choose the plan that fits your needs (upgrade or downgrade).

  • Confirm the change — your billing will be updated accordingly.

Subscription Changes

  • Upgrading: You get instant access to the new features, and your next bill will include a separate charge for the upgrade. After that, charges return to your regular billing cycle.

  • Downgrading: You keep access to removed features until your billing period ends. To stop showing these features on your site right away, you need to disable them manually.

Changing Your Billing Cycle (Monthly ↔ Annual)

Merchants using Rebuy with package based billing can now easily switch between monthly and annual billing cycles—right from the dashboard. This gives you more flexibility and control over your subscription without needing to contact support or sales.

⚙️ How It Works

  1. Go to Settings → Billing in your Rebuy dashboard.

  2. In the Account Information section, find the Payment Terms row.

  3. Click the pencil icon next to your current term (e.g., “Annual” or “Monthly”).

  4. A modal will appear explaining the change and when it will take effect.

  5. Confirm your selection to schedule the change for your next billing cycle.

🔁 You can also switch back to your previous billing cycle any time before the next bill is generated, using the same steps.

📌 Important Notes & Limitations Changing Your Billing Cycle (Monthly ↔ Annual)

  • Changes take effect on your next billing date.
Example: If you're billed annually on Jan 1, 2026 and switch to monthly on Feb 1, 2026, your monthly billing will begin Jan 1, 2027.

  • Available only for package based billing plans. If you're not sure which version you're on, check with your account manager or Rebuy support.

  • On an annual agreement but paying monthly?
If you're on an annual agreement but are being charged in monthly increments, we strongly recommend contacting your account manager. This ensures your billing setup is correct and your pricing aligns with your agreement.

  • Need help confirming your billing details?
If you're unsure about your current billing cycle, agreement type, or when changes will take effect, it's best to speak directly with an account manager. They'll help confirm everything is configured properly based on your plan.

📌 It's always a good idea to review your billing setup with your account manager if you're unsure about your agreement type.

How to Uninstall Rebuy

Before You Uninstall

We hope you’ll reconsider staying with Rebuy! Our dedicated support and success teams are here to help you overcome any challenges you might be facing. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out—our experts are ready to provide guidance and solutions.

Uninstalling on an Annual Contract

If you’re on an annual contract and want to uninstall, please contact your account manager first. They’ll guide you through contract termination and next steps.

If you have determined that the app is not suitable for your needs and you wish to proceed with uninstallation, you can follow the instructions outlined below. By completing these steps, your subscription will be canceled, and all the code associated with Rebuy will be deactivated, ensuring it is no longer active on your store. To avoid being charged further, ensure that you uninstall the Rebuy app from your Shopify administrative portal before the start of your next billing cycle. Charges will cease as soon as the uninstallation is completed on your store.

Steps to Uninstall

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin portal.

  2. Click Apps in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select App and sales channel settings at the top.

  4. Find Rebuy in the list, then click Uninstall.

  5. A confirmation pop-up will appear. You can optionally provide a reason for uninstalling—your feedback helps us improve! If you prefer, just click Uninstall without filling in the reason.

After completing these steps, your Rebuy subscription will be canceled, and all Rebuy code will be deactivated, ensuring the app is no longer active on your store. Uninstallation before the next billing cycle is necessary to halt any additional charges. This precaution ensures that billing stops immediately following the removal of the app. Additionally, any saved data and custom configurations from your Rebuy setup will remain intact even after uninstallation, ensuring a seamless reactivation if the app is reinstalled in the future.

NOTE: If you built and installed any custom Rebuy code directly into your theme you may still see that code in the theme file. It will be rendered useless without Rebuy installed, but for good measure you can remove it at any given time.

Important Notes on Subscription Upgrades and Downgrades

  • Upgrading your subscription: When you upgrade to a higher-tier bundle, you gain immediate access to all features included in that plan. Your next bill will show the charges for the upgrade separately from your regular billing cycle as an initial payment. After that, future charges will be integrated into your usual billing cycle.

  • Downgrading your subscription: If you downgrade and remove access to certain features or bundles, you will still have access to those features until the end of your current billing period. However, if you don’t want those features to appear on your website during that time, you need to manually disable or remove them from your current configurations.

Important Notes on Uninstalling or Reinstalling the Rebuy app

When you uninstall the app, all Rebuy-related code and features will immediately become inactive and stop running on your store.

Uninstalling the App:

  • V1 (Vintage) Themes:

    • The Rebuy code, which is directly inserted into the theme files, will remain in the files but will no longer render Rebuy features (like PDP widgets and smart carts). These features will be disabled and will not appear on your site.

    • If you want to completely remove the Rebuy code, you’ll need to manually remove it from your theme files.

  • V2 (App Block) Themes:

    • The Rebuy code, app block, and connector will be disabled upon uninstallation. No Rebuy features will load on your site.

    • The app blocks associated with Rebuy will no longer appear in the app settings or the theme customizer on the Shopify side.

Reinstalling the App:

  • V1 (Vintage) Themes:

    • Once reinstalled, any Rebuy features you had previously enabled will be reactivated, and the theme and code will function as expected.

    • If you had removed the Rebuy code from your theme files, you will need to manually reinstall it by following the steps in our help center.

  • V2 (App Block) Themes:

    • After reinstalling, the Rebuy code, app block, and connector will be re-enabled, and the Rebuy features will load on your site again.

    • The app blocks associated with Rebuy will reappear in the app settings and in the theme customizer on the Shopify side.
