OVERVIEW

This comprehensive guide provides Shopify Plus merchants with step-by-step instructions on how to effectively use the Rebuy Gallery for image management. Learn how to access, upload, and manage your image assets efficiently in one central location.

The article specifically focuses on insights into accepted file types, size limitations, and Shopify's policy restrictions offer a thorough understanding of how to optimize your website's visual appeal within the platform's capabilities.

PREREQUISITES

Access the Content Blocks: Since the use of images in widgets is limited to checkout, thank you page, or order status pages, first ensure that you are working within these sections. Remember, this feature is exclusive to Shopify Plus merchants.

Only Shopify Plus merchants have access to Checkout UI extensions, which drive content blocks. The extensions feature is unavailable for other Shopify plans, as Shopify has decided to restrict that feature for the lower tiered plans. Due to this fact, those that are not on Shopify Plus will not have the proper settings within Shopify to use this feature.

MANAGING IMAGES

UPLOAD AN IMAGE

To upload an image, first navigate to the Image Gallery page within Rebuy admin. You can find the image gallery by going to settings > Image Gallery. Once there, click on the "upload" button. This will bring up a window where you can select the image you would like to upload from your computer.

It is important to note that the Image Gallery Module only supports certain image formats. These include SVG, PNG, JPG, and GIF. If your image is in a different format, you will need to convert it before uploading. Additionally, the maximum file size for an image is 5 MB. If your image exceeds this size, you will need to resize or compress it before uploading.

EDIT IMAGE INFORMATION

After uploading an image, you may want to edit its information such as the alt-text and description. To do so, simply click on the image and a window will appear allowing you to make changes. The changes will be automatically saved as you work, so there is no need to worry about losing your progress.

DELETE IMAGES

To delete an image, click on the image and then click on the "Delete" button. If you have multiple images you would like to delete at once, you can bulk select them by clicking on the "select all images" button. Once you have selected all the images you want to delete, click on the "Delete Images" button.

Congratulations! You now know how to upload, edit, and delete images using the Image Gallery Module. If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please refer to our other helpful articles or contact our customer support team.
