Post Purchase and Pixel Tracking Considerations

Exploring the Constraints of Pixel Tracking while using a Post Purchase Offer

Installing an application that adds a Post Purchase step to your store's checkout flow - such as Rebuy's Post Purchase offer - may cause unexpected interruptions in your store's pixel tracking analytics. This is due to the fact that some pixel tracking configurations rely on the customer reaching the Order Status / Thank You page in order for the event to fire, and the presence of the Post Purchase page (which surfaces after Checkout but before the Thank You / Order status page) may cause the event to be delayed or interrupted in some cases.

In the event of the Post Purchase offer resulting in interference with your store's pixel tracking, you may be required to create a Custom Pixel within Shopify's Customer Events settings to ensure that the tracking stays consistent through the entire Checkout process. More information on Shopify's Pixels & Customer Events can be found at the following links:

At this time, Rebuy does not offer native support for pixel tracking via app pixels or otherwise. Rebuy's Post-Purchase Page is a native Shopify App Extension, and Rebuy does not have access to expose data on the Post Purchase Page for pixel tracking purposes.

Because pixel tracking is not supported natively through Rebuy, assisting with it's implementation or troubleshooting is not within the scope of our Support team's services. If you're looking for further information on Shopify's pixel tracking not found within their documentation, we advise reaching out directly to the Shopify Support team for assistance.
