The Product Detail Page is one of the most popular places to offer additional recommendations or give the customer more opportunities for "Product Discovery". This document will help you get started with your first product page recommendation widget!
Step-by-Step Instructions to Access and Customize the Product Page Widget in Rebuy
From the Rebuy admin, navigate to the Widgets tab located in the navigation along the left side of your screen. From here you can see the most popular locations you can upgrade your online store as well as a list of all created widgets just below that. For the product page widget, we are going to select "Product Page".
Log into Rebuy Admin: Open your web browser and go to your Rebuy admin dashboard. Log in with your admin credentials.
Navigate to Widgets Tab: On the left side of your screen, locate the navigation menu and click on the "Widgets" tab.
Select Product Page Widget: From the list of locations, select "Product Page" to access and customize the Product Page widget.
Create a New Widget: Click the "New Widget" button located at the top or side of the widget list. This will move you to the next screen where you can create a new widget.
Select type of PDP: Select AI recommendations to start
Click "Create New": After selecting AI Recommendations, click the "Create New" button.
Name and Create the Widget: Enter a name for your new widget in the provided field. Once named, click the "Create" button to finalize the creation.
Ready to Go: Your newly created AI Recommendations widget is now ready to be customized and installed.
This quick start to the Product Page (PDP) AI Recommendations widget will start with 8 items to show and install at the bottom of the page. Data Source is set to return AI recommendations, but you can also configure it to recommend any products you want! Visit our help doc on Data Sources to learn more!
Installing the Widget
Now that the widget is all set up, we can install it into your theme! Click the install button located in the top right corner of the widget settings page and follow the instructions from there.
Installation for widgets may vary depending on your theme. For 1.0 themes you will need to manually install widgets into your theme's code directly. For 2.0 themes you can install widgets via app block.
