This document can be considered the 2nd step in including data-driven product offers in your Klaviyo emails. If you'd like to review the previous step or move to the next steps after reading through this entire document, check out these help docs:

After completing this step and eventually adding personalized upsells and cross-sells to your Klaviyo flows, you can expect to:

  • Increase AOV and revenue with targeted upsells πŸ“ˆ

  • Maximize conversions through timely cross-sells that excite customers πŸ’°

  • Surface relevant offers for repeat customers to boost customer lifetime value πŸš€

Getting started

To start the slow building process, sign into your Klaviyo account and click on the Flows tab on the left-hand sidebar. After being directed to the Flows page, click the Create Flow button in the top right-hand corner to start building a new flow.

If you haven't already connected Rebuy and Klaviyo, read our help documentation on how to connect.

Since there are no pre-defined flows within Klaviyo right now, navigate to the top right-hand corner again and click the Create From Scratch button.

The following popup window will appear, prompting you to name the newly created flow and assign any appropriate tags. After choosing your desired flow name, click Create Flow and you'll be redirected to begin the flow-building process.

Creating the Klaviyo flow

To start, you'll first want to identify the flow's trigger. If you remember from our previous documentation, Rebuy's only available trigger is the Order Placed trigger.

Select the Metric block on the left-hand sidebar and choose the Rebuy event that you originally created in the Rebuy dashboard. Reference this help document for a refresher on creating Klaviyo events in Rebuy.

Please note: In this example, the Rebuy event is called "[Rebuy] Rebuy Order Placed." Your event will be different, depending on what it was named during creation in the Rebuy dashboard.

After selecting your Rebuy event, the event will populate in the Trigger box. Once the correct event has surfaced, click Done in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

A new left-hand sidebar will populate after clicking Done. The next step is to drag and drop the Email box from the left-hand sidebar into the flow, directly below the Trigger box.

Once the email is inserted into the flow, Rebuy will be able to send product recommendation data to Klaviyo. This data can be used to surface product offers in emails.

The next step is to click the 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner of the Email box, and then click the Edit button in the dropdown menu.

After clicking Edit, you'll be sent to a new page where you can start adding the desired content for the email flow.

This new page will display 3 different options for content that can be added:

  • Drag and Drop

  • Text Only

  • HTML

For the purposes of this process, select the Drag and Drop option.

You'll then be redirected to a new page that displays a library of editor templates. From here, you can choose from a number of Klaviyo's pre-built templates or even use one of your own pre-built templates.

After selecting the template of your choice, a new popup window will prompt you to Use template. Click the button on the bottom right-hand corner of the window.

After making your template selection, you're ready to rock and roll! You'll be redirected to a new editor page where the email can be built out and previewed.
