Understanding the Performance Report

The Performance Report is your go-to tool for a comprehensive breakdown of how Rebuy is contributing to your platform’s success. It consolidates key analytics, focusing on metrics that are most relevant for evaluating Rebuy’s impact on your company’s growth.

Key Notes About the Report

  • Average Order Value (AOV):

    • Rebuy’s AOV does not include shipping or discounts.

    • Taxes are also excluded from AOV calculations, which may result in differences compared to Shopify’s reported AOV.

  • Post-Refund Adjustments:

    • The report reflects post-refund values.

    • Purchases made within the reporting period that are later refunded will be accounted for and adjusted in the data.

This report encompasses all Rebuy products such as dynamic bundles, checkout, PDPs widgets, search, etc. If you are interested in learning more about Post Purchase analytics, you can head over to the Post Purchase Analytics Report article.

How to Access and Use the Performance Report

  1. Accessing the Report

    • Navigate to the Rebuy Admin Dashboard.

    • Go to the Reports page.

    • The Performance Report will automatically open, displaying analytics for the "Last 30 Days."

  2. Customizing the Report Interval

    • Use the date picker to select your preferred time range.

    • Choose from preset options like "Today," "Yesterday," "Last 30 days," and more.

    • Once a time period is selected, the report will automatically refresh to display data for the chosen interval.

This flexibility makes it easy to analyze Rebuy’s performance across different time frames. 📊

We have separated the Performance Report and Post Purchase Analytics into two different tabs. When the 'Report' tab is open, you will see 'Post Purchase Analytics' as an available sub-header underneath it. You can run the reports and swap between the two tabs as you wish.

Understanding the KPI Cards: Sales, Orders, and AOV

In this section, you'll find three KPI cards, each representing a significant metric that highlights the combined impact of all Rebuy products on your platform. These KPIs provide a quick snapshot of Rebuy's overall performance.

  1. Sales and Orders Cards

    • Feature a pie chart dividing metrics into Rebuy and Non-Rebuy contributions.

    • Combined, these metrics represent your store's total sales and orders for the selected period.

    • Include percentages that show the proportion of sales and orders directly attributed to Rebuy’s impact.

  2. AOV (Average Order Value) Card

    • Provides insights into the percentage increase that Rebuy has contributed to AOV calculations.

    • Highlights the impact of Rebuy on boosting overall order value for your store.

Q: How does Smart Search attribution work?

A: When a customer interacts with Smart Search and adds an item to the cart, the revenue generated from that purchase is attributed to Smart Search. This means that any item added to the cart directly from the search results page, quick view, or from the product detail page (PDP) after using search will count towards Smart Search RGR.

Q: Why does the data in the Search Dashboard sometimes differ from the Performance Report?
A: The Search Dashboard relies on analytic events sent by the client’s browser. If a browser fails to send these events, some interactions may not be captured, leading to occasional discrepancies. In contrast, the Performance Report pulls data from line item attribution, providing a more accurate record of interactions and revenue.

Q: Which report should I trust for accurate revenue tracking?
A: For 100% accurate revenue tracking, rely on the Performance Report. This report is based on direct line item attribution, ensuring that all revenue generated through search-related widgets is consistently tracked.

Examples of Rebuy Generated Revenue

This is an example of how an order might look in Shopify when using Rebuy on your store. This order is segmented by color so that we can highlight and explain which contribute to Rebuy Generated Revenue (RGR) and which do not.

  1. Red - Additional details

    1. This attribution signifies that the order passed through Rebuy Smart Cart. This is not RGR, it simply indicates that Smart Cart was used.

  2. Green - First line item

    1. This item was added using the stores native features and is not counted as RGR.

    2. Any item added directly from the store without using Rebuy is not attributed to Rebuy.

  3. Blue - Multiple line items

    1. These items were added using a variety of Rebuy Products and therefore each item counts as RGR.

    2. All items that are added because of Rebuy will carry Rebuy Attribution data.

      1. In orange you can see various data such as the widget ID or the name of the feature used (ex: Rebuy Switch to Subscription) so you know which Rebuy product added each item.

      2. For a full list of possible Rebuy Attribution data please see the Sales Attribution by Type section above.
