What is the Buy More Save More widget?
The Buy More Save More (BMSM) widget is a Rebuy Merchandising Widget that shows volume-based (quantity-break) discounts directly on your product page. It gives shoppers a clear incentive to buy more of a product by rewarding larger quantities with a bigger discount — for example, "Buy 1," "Buy 3, save 10%," "Buy 5, save 20%." Each of those options is called a tier.
The widget displays your tiers on the product page, lets the shopper choose one, and applies the matching discount to their order. It is designed to increase average order value on single-product purchases without needing a separate promotion or discount code.
This is not the same as Smart Cart's Buy More Save More discount
Rebuy has two features named "Buy More Save More." They are different products, set up in different places, and this article covers only the widget.

How it works
The Buy More Save More widget works by showing your tiers on the product page and enforcing the selected tier's discount through Shopify Functions.
The shopper opens a product page where the widget is installed.
The widget displays your configured tiers, with one tier pre-selected.
The shopper selects the tier they want (for example, the "Buy 3" option).
When the shopper adds to cart, Rebuy adds the tier's quantity and applies its discount using Shopify Functions, so the savings appear in the cart and at checkout.
The widget uses your theme's native Add to Cart button — it does not add its own — and it sets the quantity based on the tier the shopper picked.
The tier discount attaches to the specific items added through the widget, so the same product added from another source (for example, another Rebuy widget or a collection page) is a separate, full-price line item.
Key concepts
Understanding these building blocks will help you plan your widget before you build it.
Tiers: Each tier is one quantity-break offer, with its own required quantity, discount, label, and optional image. You can create up to 20 tiers.
Discount types: Each tier can apply a percentage discount, a fixed amount discount, or no discount.
Single-unit option: An optional "Buy 1" choice, shown before your discount tiers, that lets a shopper buy a single unit at full price. It is on by default and never receives a discount.
Discount Protection: An optional cap on how many units of a single cart line can be discounted, so shoppers can't exceed your intended discount by adding a very large quantity.
Product visibility: You control which products show the widget — all products, or a specific set chosen by product, collection, or tag.
Layouts: The tiers can be displayed in a Vertical, Horizontal, or Progress Bar layout (the Progress Bar option appears as "Slider" in the editor).
Subscriptions: The widget can optionally present a Subscribe & Save option alongside the one-time purchase tiers.
Requirements
To use the Buy More Save More widget, keep the following in mind.
The widget is placed on the product page and installed on Online Store 2.0 themes using the Rebuy Widget app block. On non-2.0 themes, the widget is installed manually via widget div placement.
Tier discounts are enforced through Shopify Functions, so Shopify Functions must be active for the discounts to apply on the storefront.
The widget applies its own discount when the shopper adds to cart; it does not read subscription selling plans set by third-party subscription apps. To offer subscriptions with the widget, use the widget's built-in Subscribe & Save (switch to subscription) option.
When to use it
The Buy More Save More widget is a good fit when you want to:
Encourage larger single-product orders (for example, consumables, supplements, or refills where buying in bulk is natural).
Show quantity-break pricing on the product page so shoppers see the savings before they reach the cart.
Run "buy more, save more" pricing without issuing discount codes.
Optionally pair quantity-break pricing with a Subscribe & Save offer.
