When Rebuy JavaScript (JS) finishes loading on the initial page load, you’ll see a success banner in your browser’s developer console that says: “Intelligent cross-selling powered by Rebuy”

This banner is simply a visual confirmation that Rebuy has loaded successfully. If you'd prefer not to display this message, you can disable it with a quick code snippet.

How to Disable the Console Banner

To prevent the banner from showing on page load, add the following script to your Shopify theme:

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Open your Shopify admin.

  2. Go to Online Store > Themes, and click Edit code on your live theme.

  3. In the file list, open theme.liquid.

  4. Paste the code below before the closing </body> tag:

<!-- Stop the Rebuy banner from showing in console on page load -->
<script>
document.addEventListener('rebuy.beforeLoaded', function(){
/* Disable Rebuy console attribution */
window.Rebuy.disable_attribution = true;
});
</script>

Verification & Troubleshooting

  • Check Your Storefront: After saving the changes in Shopify, visit your storefront to ensure that the "Intelligent cross-selling powered by Rebuy" banner is no longer showing up in the console. It's important to view the changes in a live environment to confirm they have been applied correctly.

  • Troubleshooting: If the banner still appears, ensure that the code snippet is properly placed at some point before the closing </body> tag of your Shopify theme.liquid file (example below):
