If you are using Smart Cart, you can enable a switch to subscription feature which will allow customers to do exactly that within the Smart Cart. By making it easier for your customers to subscribe to your products or services, you are likely to see an increase in sales and revenue. This is because customers who subscribe tend to have higher lifetime values and are more likely to become loyal customers. So enabling this feature can be a great way to boost the overall value of your sales.
Before anything else, you need to link Recharge to Rebuy. If you're using a different vendor, you need to activate selling plans within Rebuy. To do this, just follow these documents:
To turn on switch to subscription in Smart Cart follow these steps:
Go to the smart cart you wish to configure.
Select Cart Items Settings from the left navigation bar.
Activate 'Switch to Subscription' in the Smart Cart settings and click 'Save'.
After saving, confirm your settings if prompted.
That's all! Your products will now feature a 'Switch to Subscription' option in the Smart Cart. If you don't see it, you can attempt a resynchronization.
Subscription Settings:
The 'Switch to Subscription' feature includes the following settings and language controls:
Disable Subscription Downgrade: When checked, customers cannot downgrade a subscription product from the Smart Cart.
Upgrading Label: Text/language displayed after the customer clicks to upgrade from a one-time purchase to a subscription, but before the product is upgraded to a subscription.
Downgrading Label: Text/language shown after the customer clicks to downgrade, but before the product is downgraded to a one-time purchase.
One-Time Option Label: Text displayed for the one-time purchase option.
Subscription Option Label: Text displayed for the subscription purchase options."
