Smart Collections Reporting & Analytics FAQs

How often do the Smart Collections metrics update on the Smart Collections dashboard?

The Smart Collections dashboard metrics accumulate and process in real time, providing you with the most up-to-date data instantly.

How does Smart Collections attribution work?

When a customer interacts with Smart Collections and adds an item to the cart, the revenue generated from that purchase is attributed to Smart Collections. This includes revenue from items added directly from the collection page or from the Product Detail Page (PDP) after being accessed via the collection page. This ensures that all interactions through Smart Collections contribute to your reported Revenue Generation Rate (RGR).

Smart Collection Campaigns FAQs

Can I edit a campaign?

Yes, you can edit any campaign as long as it is not in a completed state.

Can I duplicate a Smart Collection campaign?

Yes, you can duplicate a campaign from the Campaigns page within the table by selecting the campaign you want to duplicate. When a campaign is duplicated, all of its settings will be copied over. If the campaign being copied was scheduled or live, the duplicate campaign will need to have its own schedule.

Can I delete a Smart Collection campaign?

Yes, you can delete a campaign from the Campaigns page within the table after selecting the campaign you wish to delete.
Note: If the campaign is live, it must first be paused and taken out of the live state before it can be deleted.

What happens if an error occurs after I’ve scheduled the campaign?

If an error occurs with a campaign when it is scheduled or live, it will show as an error state on the Campaigns page and will be bumped to the top of the table. You can edit the errored campaign to view more details about the error and resolve it, allowing you to reschedule the campaign.

Smart Collections FAQs

Can you CREATE new Shopify Collections through Rebuy Smart Collections?

No. Collections need to be created and products added to the collections within Shopify. We will pull in collections and the products associated to them automatically into Rebuy Smart Collections.

Does Smart Collections support pre-order products?

Smart Collections does not support pre-orders. Pre-order products appear on Smart Collections collection pages like any other product, but the Add to Cart button does not change to read "Pre-Order," and no release date or estimated ship date appears on the product card. A shopper can add a pre-order item to the cart directly from the collection page with no indication that it will not ship right away.

The Add to Cart button label in Smart Collections comes from a single text field on the collection template that applies to every product in every collection. The label changes only while an item is being added, after it has been added, or when the variant is sold out. Smart Collections does not read Shopify pre-order purchase options, selling plans, or product tags to change the button.

Third-party pre-order apps are not integrated with Smart Collections. If a pre-order app swaps in its own button and adds cart messaging on your product pages, that button and messaging do not carry into Smart Collections product cards.

Here are your options:

  1. Send shoppers to the product page instead of adding from the collection page. Turn off the Add to Cart button so shoppers open the product detail page, where your pre-order app's button and shipping messaging render normally. Go to Smart Collections > Template > General Settings and toggle OFF the Add to Cart Button.

  2. Rename the button if your entire catalog is pre-order. On the same Add to Cart Button card, change Add to Cart Button Text to "Pre-Order." This text applies to every product in every collection, so only use it when all products are pre-order items.

  3. Remove pre-order products from your collection pages entirely. Go to Smart Collections > Settings > Excluded Products, select EDIT, and add either the product tags used for your pre-order items or the individual items as specific products. Excluded products are removed from every Smart Collections collection page, because exclusions apply to all collections and cannot be set per collection or per campaign. Only use this if you do not want shoppers finding pre-order products on your collection pages at all, and remove the exclusion once the product becomes generally available.

Can I set different badge texts for Featured Products within the same collection?

No. The Featured Badge text applies to all featured products in that collection.

Can I use logic or rules to change Featured Badge text dynamically?

No. Smart Collection's Featured Product Badge text must be manually set in the collection settings.

If I leave Promo Tile or Featured Product settings empty in a Campaign, will my collection-specific settings apply?

No. When a Campaign is Live, its settings override all collection-level configurations.

Can I add a title or text overlay to a Smart Collection's Promo Tile?

Promo Tiles don't have a built-in title or text field in the editor. Any promotional text for Promo Tile's you want shoppers to see—needs to be designed directly into the image file before you upload it as the Promo Tile.
