Rebuy Admin Access is the setting in your Rebuy admin that controls whether Rebuy support staff can access your shop. You will find it at Settings > Rebuy Admin Access, inside a panel named Superadmin Access Control. Rebuy Admin Access is enabled by default for every existing Rebuy store, so you do not need to do anything to keep working with Rebuy support.
What Rebuy Admin Access controls
Rebuy Admin Access controls whether Rebuy support staff can open your shop in the Rebuy admin. When Rebuy Admin Access is enabled, Rebuy support staff can view your shop data to investigate an issue and make changes on your behalf when you ask them to, including editing widgets, adjusting Smart Cart settings, and adding custom CSS.
Rebuy Admin Access applies only to Rebuy staff accounts. It does not change the access your own team members have to the Rebuy admin, and it does not change how Rebuy features behave on your storefront.
Where to find Rebuy Admin Access
Rebuy Admin Access lives on its own page inside your Rebuy settings. To open it:
Log in to the Rebuy admin at rebuyengine.com/admin.
Click Settings at the bottom of the left navigation.
Click the Rebuy Admin Access card, labeled "Control when Rebuy support staff can access your shop."
Confirm the Superadmin Access Control panel opens and shows the Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle with its current state listed.
If the Rebuy Admin Access card does not appear on the Settings page, use the store selector at the top of the left navigation to confirm you are logged in to the correct store with Admin privileges, then reload the page.

Default state of Rebuy Admin Access
Rebuy Admin Access is on by default for every existing Rebuy store. No action is required from you, and nothing about your Rebuy configuration or your storefront changes because of this default. If you would rather Rebuy support staff not hold standing access to your shop, you can turn Rebuy Admin Access off at any time.
How to turn off Rebuy Admin Access
Turning off Rebuy Admin Access removes access for Rebuy support staff. To turn it off:
Go to Settings > Rebuy Admin Access in the Rebuy admin.
Click the Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle to move it to the off position.
A Disable Rebuy Admin Access? confirmation will appear, click Disable Access.
Confirm the Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle is moved to the OFF position and the banner reads "Rebuy access is turned off"
If the toggle does not move or the state does not change, check whether your Rebuy user has the Admin role, described in "Who can change the Rebuy Admin Access setting" below. If you do have the Admin role and the toggle still does not respond, contact Rebuy support through the in-app chat.

How to turn Rebuy Admin Access back on
Turning Rebuy Admin Access back on restores access for Rebuy support staff. To turn it back on:
Go to Settings > Rebuy Admin Access in the Rebuy admin.
Click the Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle so it moves to the ON position.
Confirm the Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle now shows as enabled and the banner now reads "Rebuy has access to your shop".

Who can change the Rebuy Admin Access setting
Only users with the Admin role in Rebuy can change the Allow Rebuy Admin Access setting. If your Rebuy user has the Staff or Staff + PII role, the Superadmin Access Control panel shows the message "You do not have permission to modify this setting" where the toggle would normally be, and no toggle appears at all.
To get the setting changed, ask a user with the Admin role on your Rebuy account to update it, or ask an Admin to change your role on the Settings > Manage Team page. For a full breakdown of what each Rebuy role can do, see Role Management of User Accounts.

What happens when Rebuy Admin Access is turned off
When Rebuy Admin Access is turned off, Rebuy support staff cannot open your shop in the Rebuy admin. That changes support work in three ways:
Rebuy support staff cannot view your widget, Smart Cart, Data Source, or Smart Flows configuration to diagnose a problem you report.
Rebuy support staff cannot make changes for you, such as editing a widget, updating Smart Cart settings, or adding custom CSS.
Rebuy support staff will ask you to turn Rebuy Admin Access back on before they can continue hands-on troubleshooting.
Your own team is unaffected. Everyone on your Rebuy account keeps the access their role grants them, and every Rebuy feature keeps running on your storefront exactly as it did before.
Frequently asked questions
Is Rebuy Admin Access on or off by default for my store?
Rebuy Admin Access is on by default for every existing Rebuy store. You do not need to enable it, and nothing stops working because of the default setting.
Do I need to do anything to keep Rebuy support able to help me?
No action is needed to keep Rebuy support able to help you. Because Rebuy Admin Access is enabled by default, Rebuy support staff can already access your shop unless someone with the Admin role on your account has turned Allow Rebuy Admin Access off.
Why is there no Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle on my Rebuy Admin Access page?
The Allow Rebuy Admin Access toggle is hidden and replaced with the message "You do not have permission to modify this setting" when your Rebuy user does not have the Admin role. Ask a user with the Admin role on your Rebuy account to change the setting, or ask them to update your role on the Settings > Manage Team page.
Does turning off Rebuy Admin Access break any Rebuy features on my storefront?
Turning off Rebuy Admin Access does not break any Rebuy features. Your widgets, Smart Cart, Smart Search, Smart Flows, and every other Rebuy feature keep running as normal. The only effect is that Rebuy support staff can no longer open your shop in the Rebuy admin to view your data or make changes for you.
