What is Klaviyo?
Klaviyo is a unified customer platform that helps you build stronger relationships with your customers by giving you full control over your data and interactions. It tracks shopper behavior across your site—what they click, where they drop off, and what drives them to buy. With this insight, you can create and automate personalized emails and SMS messages—like cart reminders, price drop alerts, and product recommendations—using Klaviyo’s built-in templates and workflows. It integrates seamlessly with your tech stack and scales with your growth.
Smart Cart App Overview
Capture high-intent shoppers’ phone numbers and add them to Klaviyo lists to grow your engaged subscriber base. The Klaviyo SMS Capture Smart Cart App is embedded directly in the cart drawer to make it easy to scale lists and then send hyper-personalized text messages with Klaviyo SMS.
Installation Instructions
Prerequisites
Before getting started, make sure:
You have Rebuy Smart Cart installed and active.
You have the Rebuy x Klaviyo integration set up.
You have created a target list in Klaviyo to collect SMS subscribers.
You have valid URLs for your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you do not have Smart Cart installed, read this help doc.
If you have not integrated Rebuy and Klaviyo, read this help doc.
Smart Cart App Installation
1. Access Smart Cart:
In the Rebuy Admin, click on the Smart Cart tab.
Select the Smart Cart that you'd like to add the Smart Cart App to.
2. Open Smart Cart Editor
In the Smart Cart editor, click the "ADD +" button in the section that you'd like to add the Smart Cart to.
3. Add Smart Cart App
Click the component to select the Klaviyo Smart Cart App.
If you've never added a Smart Cart App to the section you've selected ➡️ there will be a specific box callout to add one.
If you have added a Smart Cart App to the section you've selected ➡️
there will be a "Smart Cart App" component, similar to the other options.
4. Select the Klaviyo SMS Capture App
Type "Klaviyo" into the search bar or scroll until you find the "Klaviyo SMS Capture" box.
Click the "INSTALL" button.
5. Setup the Smart Cart App
Toggle on the Smart Cart App and complete the following fields:
List ID
Get your Klaviyo Target List ID, which collects your SMS subscribers

Prompt Text
This will be shown at the top of the Smart Cart
e.g., "Join our SMS Program"
Terms URL
Enter the full URL for your terms page for SMS handling
Privacy URL
Enter the full URL for your privacy policy page
6. Save your Work
After completing, click the "Save" button in the upper right-hand corner.
That's it! The app will render as specific within your Rebuy Smart Cart. You now have a place for you to capture customer phone numbers in the Rebuy Smart Cart to drive more sales and conversions 🎉

Double-check that:
Your Klaviyo integration is properly connected in Rebuy.
The Klaviyo SMS Capture App is enabled in Smart Cart settings.
Your Klaviyo list ID is valid and not archived.
Subscribers not appearing in Klaviyo?
Subscribers not appearing in Klaviyo?
Confirm the list ID is correct and the customer submitted a valid phone number.
