Smart Search Quick View is the real-time search panel that appears when a shopper interacts with your store's search bar. It dynamically displays products, collections, and related search terms as shoppers type, adapting in real time to their input. This feature promotes product discovery, offers personalized recommendations, and helps boost conversions and revenue.
What is Smart Search Quick View
Smart Search Quick View is a search experience that surfaces recommendations in real time inside a panel attached to your store's search bar. As a shopper types, Quick View shows matching products, matching collections, and suggested search terms, so shoppers can find what they want without leaving the page they are on. Quick View is part of Rebuy Smart Search and is configured in the Quick View editor in your Rebuy admin.
The live preview editor
The Quick View editor includes a live preview of your actual storefront, rendered directly within the Rebuy admin as you configure settings. The preview reflects your real store theme, product catalog, and branding. Changes made in the editor do not go live until you save them.
The preview behaves differently depending on your store's search history:
Existing Smart Search users: The preview automatically loads using your store's top search data, so a relevant result set appears right away without any input required.
Net-new Smart Search users (no prior search history): You are prompted to enter a search term to activate the preview. Once entered, the preview renders results from your storefront for that query.
Context-aware preview: The preview reacts to the settings panel you have open. As you navigate through configuration options, the preview updates to reflect the scenario tied to that setting, so you can see the direct impact of each change as you make it.

What you need before using Quick View
Before you can use Smart Search Quick View, Smart Search itself must be installed and enabled on your store. Quick View is a feature of Smart Search and will not function until Smart Search is live. If you have not set up Smart Search yet, follow the Smart Search Installation Guide first, then return to configure Quick View.
How to enable or disable Quick View
You enable or disable Quick View by toggling it on or off on the Quick View settings page in your Rebuy admin. Turning the toggle on makes Quick View active on your storefront; turning it off disables it. Smart Search must be installed and enabled for the Quick View toggle to take effect.

Search bar placeholder text
The Search Bar Text setting customizes the placeholder text shown in the search bar. Adding tailored placeholder text creates a more personalized, branded search experience and helps guide shoppers before they begin typing.
Interaction Settings
Set up what shoppers see before they type (suggested search terms, collections, and products), as they type (auto-complete and matching results), and when a search returns no results.
Product Display Settings for Smart Search Quick View
Control how products appear in results — card layout, image ratio and hover behavior, column spacing and breakpoints, variant display, alignment, text colors, search bar placeholder text, the number of products shown, and the Add to Cart button.

How do I preview Smart Search on my site?
To preview Smart Search, click the Preview button on the Smart Search dashboard, the Quick View editor page, or the Results editor page. Any of these opens a preview of Smart Search on your storefront.
Why aren't my products or collections showing properly in Quick View?
If your products or collections are not showing properly in Quick View, the most common cause is a sync delay between Shopify and Rebuy. Whenever you change products or collections in Shopify, Shopify sends Rebuy an update request through webhooks, and Rebuy syncs the updated data. Occasional delays can occur due to network disruptions, high server traffic, temporary API rate limits, or communication hiccups between Shopify and Rebuy. To resolve it, manually re-sync your product and collection data by following Sync Product Data, Store Data, and Clear Cache.
